Matthews Fan NK-BK-BW-60 Nan 6-speed ceiling fan in Matte Black finish with 60” solid barn wood tone wood blades

This is a really beautiful midcentury modern style fan. I love that it doesn't have an ugly light in it. It's quiet and creates a good breeze.

Have had this fan for a couple years now, installed in the family room. It’s a nice contemporary looking fan with a DC motor. I run it 24/7, blowing down during the warmer months, and up during the cooler months. It has 6 speeds, but I find the lowest 3 are sufficient. In operation, the fan is excellent, with abundant airflow and no motor noise. The only issue is with the remote control, which works fine from certain positions in the room but not at all in other parts of the room. Replacing the battery made no difference. I contacted the manufacturer, and they sent me a new remote control and receiver module. The new remote made no difference. The receiver module is located in the fan unit, and since I already paid an electrician $150 to install the fan, I did not feel like spending another $150 to have the module replaced. Fortunately, since I mostly control the fan from my couch, it’s just a matter of raising the remote over my head to get it to work.

Not only is this fan built for longevity but it’s sleek and modern looking as well! Install was very easy (we own two already) and the noise level is non-existent. The light also adds brightness to any room and the wall mounted control is wireless (operates on battery), so you can install it anywhere, if you prefer. I would highly recommend this fan to anyone. The only slight downside is the price but it’s worth it if you’re looking for the unicorn of fans.

This fan is gorgeous.It has understated elegance without losing its casual vibe & looks amazing in our bedroom. A quality build. This fan also packs a punch and we can sleep comfortably even in the dog days of summer. Most importantly, the fan is super quiet and puts out a lot of light.I hemmed and hawed over this purchase because it’s definitely an investment. But if it’s at all a consideration for your budget, don’t hesitate.

So easy to install! Had a couple of customer service questions and company handled everything beautifully. Love the remote! Fan completely takes care of entire room! Highly recommend!
