Sprague & Carleton Solid Rock Maple Dry Sink – Rare 1950s Keene, NH Cabinet

This authentic 1950s Sprague & Carleton dry sink was crafted in Keene, New Hampshire from solid American rock maple—a hallmark of the company’s renowned durability and craftsmanship. With its hinged top, elegant spindle gallery rail, brass-style hardware, and spacious cabinet storage, this is both a functional furniture piece and a rare collectible.

Sprague & Carleton was founded in 1899 by Frank L. Sprague and William Carleton, initially producing maple rocking chairs during Keene’s heyday as the “Porch Chair Center of the United States.” By the late 1920s, they expanded into Colonial and Early American–style furniture, often using solid rock maple. In 1968, the company was acquired by Patriot Industries, and in 1988, the Keene factory closed due to foreign competition—making pieces like this increasingly rare.
