Soudal was founded by Vic Swerts in 1966, initially as a small welding materials producer near Antwerp, Belgium, before relocating to Turnhout two years later. The company's name comes from "Soudeert Alles" ("welds everything"), adopted in 1976. Soudal remains privately owned by its founder and manufactures sealants, polyurethane foams, and adhesives distributed to over 140 countries, with headquarters in Turnhout, Belgium.
