I had a nasty blockage and bought the Home Depot Ridgid 6' knockoff of this unit. After half an hour of sweating and swearing, I had a destroyed knockoff. I returned the Home Depot POS, ordered the real-deal General, it arrived a few days later, and within 90 seconds my toilet was clear. Booyah!

This is a high quality tool that will not only clear the toilet, but also clear the adjacent line. Buy it and take care of it and it will last a lifetime.

This is a very sturdy easy to use product. I had bought a 20 one at Home Depot and it was to0 flimsy.

This thing is a beast. We have a chronically slow and easily-clogged toilet. Last year I ended up having to call a plumber to get it unclogged. He came in with his professional auger and that the job done in about 30 seconds. I tried the cheaper $10 augers from Walmart and Lowe's and they didn't get the job done. Finally bought this thing and the clog was gone instantly. I paid a guy $165 to do this last year and look at me like I was completely hopeless. Now I have my own (for a lot less than $165 and a condescending stare) and no clog can get me down.

This professional tool has saved me at least ten calls to the plumber. My kids like to flush down baby wipes, clothes, and excess toilet paper. This snake takes some practice to master using the extension, and taking the slack out etc. It has yet to fail in clearing a severely backed up toilet. I almost skip the traditional plunger now, and go straight to the pro tool. Storing this may be problematic though, for sanitary and aesthetic reasons. I put it in a plastic bin and leave it outside.

This auger is far superior to the bulb ended auger. It has a sturdy hook on the end allowing it to break up clogs and on occasion bring to the surface solid material that will never fit down a pipe. Cheap alternative to Roto rooter

Best tool to clear toilets , sewer traps

Had a serious clog that was not responding to anything I tried: plunger, baking soda and vinegar, various chemicals/enzymes...even a cheapo auger from the local hardware store. Nothing worked. I didn't want to spend hundreds on a professional. Ordered this product, watched a demo video online and wow, it worked on my first try. Thank you! You really need to watch a demo of an auger being used-I had no idea how to use it properly.

Been using one of these for about 15 years and I finally broke it. I'm sure this one will last another 15. Love this thing
